High Sierra Energy, L.P is a holding company that identifies, acquires, manages and integrates businesses and revenue generating assets in the natural resources industry, primarily in connection with the transportation, processing, storage and marketing of hydrocarbons. Founded in 2004, we are headquartered in Denver, CO.

Our current subsidiaries transport and market natural gas liquids and asphalt via rail car; gather, transport and market crude oil and condensate; gather, process, store and market natural gas; terminal asphalt and ethanol; gather, transport, process and dispose of oilfield produced water; lease natural gas compressors; and, market electrical power.

High Sierra generally seeks opportunities that will produce income from “qualifying sources” because we have modeled ourselves after master limited partnerships, or MLPs. MLPs are publicly-traded partnerships that are permitted to retain their pass-through partnership status for tax purposes (public entities are normally treated as corporations by the IRS), provided that at least 90% of their income is derived from "qualifying sources.”

We not only have modeled ourselves after an “MLP,” but we pursue new business opportunities that are “MLP”
