Accounts Payable Specialist
The purpose of this position is to process supplier invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper documentation supports the payments made to outside suppliers and employees for a number of subsidiary companies.
This position is located in Denver, CO.
Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned according to business necessity.
• Reviewing supplier invoices for accuracy & legitimacy
• Matching supplier invoices against corresponding BOL’s in Solarc Right Angle (SRA)
• Attaching invoices in Oracle when fed into Oracle
• Some invoice entry directly into Oracle
• Invoices entered within 24-36 hours of receipt
• Troubleshooting and researching supplier issues
• Resolving supplier invoice problems within 72-hours
• Reviewing weekly open payable reports
• Taking responsibility for designated suppliers
• Building relationships with suppliers, internal and external
• Escalating all un-resolvable issues immediately
• Proficiency in filing documents
• Miscellaneous projects as assigned
• Assisting accounting staff in month end process including uploading of company credit card
• Communicating professionally with suppliers and employees
• Job requires more than 40+ hours a week and some weekends
Qualifications/Skills and Abilities Requirements:
• Current Oracle 11i payable experience required
• Solarc Right Angle (SRA) a plus
• Proficiency in Excel required
• Good organizational skills a must
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting processes a must
• Good math skills, ability to be detail oriented
• Good interpersonal skills; able to work with different departments and with various levels of company personnel
• Demonstrates initiative and is self motivated
Educational and Experience Requirements:
• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree or three or more years of accounts payable experience and or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
